Using SMTP For Clientexec Emails

Clientexec comes with the ability to send emails without any additional configuration using PHP mail(). However, you may set up CE to use SMTP for system emails.


Configure SMTP


To configure SMTP:


  1. Go to Settings > Company > Mail Configuration.
  2. In the Mail Type dropdown select SMTP.
  3. In the following input fields, specify the SMTP settings that you got from your hosting or email provider.


Make certain that you enter SMTP Port correctly. Incorrect settings can prevent ClientExec from sending out mail.


  1. Click the Test Configuration at the bottom to make sure that you entered everything correctly.
  2. When you see the success message, click Update Settings.
