# Setting Up the 2Checkout Payment Plugin

The 2CheckOut payment gateway allows you to receive one-time payments, issue refunds, and other features.

In order to configure your [2Checkout](http://www.2checkout.com/) plugin, navigate to **Settings** > **Plugins** > **Payment Processors**.

Click **2Checkout** in the drop-down.

**Supported Features:**

| **One-Time Payments** | **Recurring** | **Refunds** |
| -------- | -------- | -------- |
| Yes | No | Yes |

If you are utilizing 2Checkout, it is recommended to mark **Yes** next to **In Signup** so that your clients can pay with 2Checkout during the signup and payment process.

**Other Options:**

| **Field Name **| **Description **|
| -------- | -------- |
| One-Time Payments | Select YES if you want to allow customers to make one-time payments through this payment processor. |
| Available in Profile Billing Tab | This plugin is available to admins in the user's profile billing tab. |
| Seller ID | ID used to identify you to 2checkout.com. **NOTE:** This ID is required if you have selected 2checkout as a payment gateway for any of your clients. |
| Secret Word | 'Secret Word' used to calculate the MD5 hash. **NOTE:** Please take in count, you will also need to set the 'Secret Word' on the 2Checkout Site Management page, and it is to avoid frauds. |
| Purchase Routine | This setting allows you to determine which purchase routine will be better suited for your site. |
| Signup Name | Select the name to display in the signup process for this payment type. Example: eCheck or Credit Card. |

The **Purchase Routine** has two templates:

* **Single Page Checkout** - This will allow for the entire checkout process to be completed on one page.
* **Standard Purchase Routine** - This will result in the checkout processing being routine, and it will go through necessary transaction steps which will result in the checkout process being standardized and not one page.

The API Settings are used if you want to set up 2Checkout Refunds in your ClientExec.

As 2Checkout users cannot access both the API and Seller Area, you need to go to your 2Checkout dashboard, then click **Account **> **User Management** > **Create Username** and create another account, making sure to provide API Access and API Updating permissions. Put that Username in the **API Username** input and the Password in the **API Password** input.
