# Obtaining a license


Before proceeding, you will need a valid license for your Clientexec software. Licenses can be obtained directly from Clientexec if purchased from us, or through one of our authorized resellers, which is how most users acquire theirs. If your hosting provider does not offer Clientexec, consider letting them know you would value this as a service.

If you have already purchased a license, the domain name to be licensed should have been submitted during the process. No further action is required. You may use any subdomain of the licensed domain (e.g., client.yourdomain.com or members.yourdomain.com).
