# Fraud Protection

Clientexec can be setup to run checks on orders to help you ensure that only valid orders get through and to block any potential fraudulent orders. 

You can access our Fraud Plugins at **Settings** > **Plugins** > **Fraud**.

You can choose one of the following fraud protection services: 

* **FraudLabs Pro** - Order Verification Services.
* **MaxMind** - Risk Scoring Services.
* **StopForumSpam** - Detects and blocks banned/spam IP's.

### FraudLabs Pro Setup

**FraudLabs Pro** is a fraud detection solution that helps merchants prevent payment fraud and minimize chargeback & losses.  **FraudLabs Pro** performs fraud validation using elements such as geolocation, proxy, email, credit card, transaction velocity and others to identify fraudulent orders before payment is even made. 

**How To Activate:**

1. Go to **Settings** > **Plugins** > **Fraud** and select FraudLabs Pro from the dropdown.
2. Set Enable to **Yes**.
3. Enter your FraudLabs Pro API key.

**Using Rules To Block Orders:**

FraudLabs Pro allows you to create rules that define conditions under which orders should be blocked and prevented from completing checkout. Orders will still be placed, but will be created with a status of Fraud, allowing you to manually review and decide whether to accept and allow the order to complete. ### MaxMind Setup

MaxMind is a leading provider of IP intelligence and online fraud prevention tools. 

**How To Activate:**

1. Go to **Settings** > **Plugins** > **Fraud** and select MaxMind from the dropdown.
2. Set Enable to **Yes**.
3. Enter your MaxMind Account ID and License Key.

**Other Options:**

| Option Name | Description |
| ---- |
| Enable Device Tracking Addon | Device tracking provides you with a better and more accurate riskScore and IP Risk Score. (more info [here](https://www.maxmind.com/en/solutions/minfraud-services/device-tracking)) |
| Service | Select the service you would like to use here. Your options are Score, Insights and Factors. You can compare the different services [here](https://support.maxmind.com/hc/en-us/articles/4407833140123-Compare-the-minFraud-Services). |
| Reject Free E-mail Service | This option checks if the e-mail domain used by the Client is from a free e-mail provider and if so will flag the order as fraud. (Requires Insights or Factors Service). |
| Reject Country Mismatch | Enabling this setting will reject any order where the billing address country does not match the country the IP address is registered to. (Requires Insights or Factors Service). |
| MaxMind Fraud Risk Score | Orders that receive a risk score higher than the value entered here will be marked as fraudulent and prevented from completing checkout. A common default value is 20. A value between 0.01 and 99.9 can be entered. For more information go [here](https://support.maxmind.com/what-is-the-riskscore/). |
| MaxMind Warning E-mail | The email address where a notification will be sent when the number of remaining queries reaches your MaxMind Low Query Threshold. |
| MaxMind Low Query Threshold | A notification email will be sent when the number of remaining queries reaches this value. |

### StopForumSpam Setup

**How To Activate:**

1. Go to **Settings** > **Plugins** > **Fraud** and select StopForumSpam from the dropdown.
2. Set Enable to **Yes**.
