Domain Configuration

A pivotal feature of Clientexec is the ability to sell, transfer, and allowing the client to point their nameservers to your company's server.

Before you do anything, it is a good idea to go ahead and configure the domain registrar plugins conveniently located under Settings > Plugin > Registrars. You will see over ten types of registrars you can currently choose from.

Here are a articles on how to configure your registrar plugin:

eNom
Namecheap
OpenSRS
ResellerClub
Name.Com
Synergy Wholesale
ResellBiz
Realtime Register
OnlineNIC
Netim
NameSilo
Dreamscape
Joker.Com
Nominet
NetEarthOne
Internet.bs

Most registrar configurations are the same; they usually ask for your username and password. If a little more information is required, there should be tool tips to help you find that information.

Now that you have configured your registrar plugin, you are ready to begin creating the domain products. Navigate to Settings > Products > Products.

You should see Domain Services (Domain) in the list of product groups. Click the black arrow facing down to activate a window of options. Since you have no TLD's, click Add New Product.

A clean page will appear which gets the basic information for the extension, such as what type, preference settings, will it automatically activate, and will it be available for purchase in the members area? In the example below, the .org extension is being added.

You may now click Save Changes when you are happy with those settings. Three more tabs should appear to offer you more options. They are individually covered below in the order in which they appear.

Pricing Tab

This is how the Pricing tab appears before it has been modified. You can insert the Late Fee for when clients do not pay their domain invoice on time. Once you have inserted the value, it will auto-save. You can also enable Tax domain orders which will post a tax to all of the domain orders you receive.

In order to allow your TLD to be registered, you have to set up billing periods and pricing. Go ahead and click Add Period. As you can see, you have some crucial and basic information to fill in [which has already been filled below with random data].

This is the tab where the pricing is configurated. You have basic options, such as the billing period, price, transfer and renewal costs.

Addons Tab

You can configure product addons by navigating to Settings > Products > Addons. Addons, as it sounds, allow you to provide an additional service beyond the base package (a domain in this case). To set up ID Protection, follow the instructions in this link.

Advanced & Plugin Settings

The final configuration is the Advanced & Plugin Settings tab. The settings are explained below.

Registrar Plugin - This is where you will select what Registrar the domain will use. If you want to use automatic domain registration, you must utilize a registrar.

Automatically initiate transfer request - This will allow for the domain to transfer without their being manual intervention. You must allow Transfer domain orders, and your selected plugin must support domain transfer.
